AIRENCE-USB – Compact, Reliable, and Flexible Radio Production Mixer
The AIRENCE-USB is designed to be the heart of any local radio production setup, whether in the studio or at home. Its intuitive features make it the perfect companion for rapid, on-the-spot radio programs. Compact, reliable, and 19" rack-mounted, the AIRENCE is ideal for production rooms and can also serve as an On-Air mixer or even run your Internet Radio station.
If you're working with a tight budget, start with the 6-channel version. It’s a complete system that gets you up and running. Plus, it remains versatile as it can later be used as a pre-production mixer when you upgrade to a larger On-Air console. Need more inputs? Simply connect the AIRENCE-EXT to expand by 6 more triple inputs, each offering a low-noise mic and 2 stereo line inputs. The Cue bus is linked for easy communication as well.
And if that’s not enough, you can add another 6-channel unit to scale up to 18 or more input channels as your needs grow.
Each unit is powered by a modern, digitally switched power supply, ensuring high efficiency. Plus, power supply redundancy is available through the external power supply unit.
Control Section
On the right side of the mixer, you’ll find 24 illuminated switches (green, red, or yellow). These can control various functions in your Radio Automation, such as triggering jingle machines or switching between live and non-stop. You can even record voice tracks while on-air. The built-in USB controller, designed by D&R and fully programmable, adds extra excitement to your radio production.
Software
The AIRENCE sends control signals via USB using the HID protocol, which allows the output signals to be displayed on a TFT screen with a sleek meter application. Both Program and Sub stereo signals are shown on a high-resolution PPM meter. A separate smaller meter displays all signals heard through the CRM speakers. Additionally, the application shows a professional-looking Radio clock, synchronized with the nearest NTP server over the internet.
Meter Application
This included software runs alongside the 4 stereo audio signals via the same USB connection that links the console to the Play-out PC. You can even connect a second screen to replicate the display shown above for a more immersive experience.
